Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club reinforces its sustainability position with third GEO Certified® status

Friday 4th September 2026; Dubai, United Arab Emirates:

Every young golfer develops differently. Some are discovering the game for the first time, while others are ready to compete, improve their performance or simply enjoy golf with greater confidence.

That is the idea behind the new Junior Development Programme at Peter Cowen Academy Dubai Creek. The programme provides a clear pathway that supports young golfers through every stage of their development, combining expert PGA coaching, age-appropriate activities and access to advanced golf technology.

Term 1 begins during the week of 14 September, with eight and 16-week programme options available.

A Pathway for Every Young Golfer

The Junior Development Programme is divided into five pathways, allowing each golfer to learn in an environment suited to their age, ability and goals.

Junior FUN | Ages 5–7

Junior FUN introduces children to golf through enjoyable and age-appropriate activities. Following TPI Junior principles, sessions combine fundamental golf skills with movement, balance, coordination and athletic development.

The aim is simple: to build confidence, create strong foundations and encourage a lifelong love for golf.

Junior PLAY | Ages 8–10

Junior PLAY helps young golfers strengthen their fundamentals while developing short game, putting, coordination and decision-making.

The programme encourages creativity and independent play, giving juniors the skills and confidence they need to progress in their golfing journey.

Junior TRAIN | Ages 11–13

Junior TRAIN offers more structured junior golf coaching for players who are ready to develop their technique and understanding of the game.

Sessions focus on stronger fundamentals, movement, short game, putting and course awareness while continuing to build confidence and independence.

Golf 4 Life | Ages 14+

Not every young golfer wants to follow a competitive pathway. Golf 4 Life is designed for teenagers who want to improve their game, stay active and enjoy golf as a lifelong hobby.

Sessions focus on technique, short game, course management and confidence without the pressure of competitive golf.

Future Elites and Elites

The Future Elites and Elites pathway supports ambitious junior golfers who want to take their performance to the next level.

Players are placed according to individual golf and fitness assessments rather than age alone. Following TPI principles, coaching develops technique, strength, speed and course management to help each golfer reach their potential.

More Than Junior Golf Lessons

The Junior Development Programme goes beyond traditional golf lessons for children.

Each pathway combines PGA junior golf coaching with physical development, modern training technology and regular opportunities to practise. Depending on the programme selected, benefits include:

Structured PGA coaching: Every session follows a clear development plan suited to the golfer’s age and ability.

TrackMan Range and putting green access: Juniors can continue practising throughout their eight or 16-week programme.

Golf technology: Training may include TrackMan, Swing Catalyst, indoor simulator sessions and video feedback.

Athletic development: TPI-based activities help improve movement, balance, coordination, strength and speed.

Progress recognition: Juniors receive a Peter Cowen Junior Programme levelling cap and a certificate of achievement.

Equipment is also available when required, helping new golfers begin their journey without needing to purchase their own clubs immediately.

Why the Right Junior Golf Programme Matters

A successful junior golf programme should do more than teach technique. It should help children enjoy learning, build confidence and feel motivated to continue improving.

At Peter Cowen Academy Dubai Creek, every pathway has been designed to create a positive and supportive environment where young golfers can learn, practise and progress alongside players of a similar age and ability.

Whether your child is taking their first swing, developing their game as a hobby or working towards elite competition, the Junior Development Programme provides a clear next step.

Registrations are now open and spaces are expected to fill quickly.
