Joe O'Connor

Joe graduated from the University of Birmingham with a bachelor science degree with honours and a specialisation in golf pedagogy and biomechanics. During the 3 years he spent at University, Joe spent his summers teaching at the K club in Ireland where he found his passion for coaching.
Since joining the academy in 2021, Joe has spent his time studying the game with a specialization in short game and putting. He has since gained his level 1 trackman, level 1 and 2 capto certification, level 1 SAM Putt Lab certification and level 1 swing catalyst certification. All of which he utilises within his coaching, sharing his newfound knowledge with the aim of helping people of all ages improve their short game.
Joe has also spent a lot of time teaching junior golfers and help runs the fantastic DP World Conatainer project where we travel to different schools introducing the game of golf. Joe has a great passion and vision for expanding the game of golf by introducing it to as many new players as possible, whilst maintaining a fun and proactive experience.
For an all round successful golf game, Joe believes that a repetitive full swing is complemented by the ability to manipulate the ball in the air and be versatile around the greens.
