Jonathan has always been a keen sportsmen and it was at the age of sixteen that he turned his attention to golf. Taking to the sport at a fast pace Jonathan realized his development was down to his athletic upbringing, which heavily influences his current coaching model. Jonathan was first introduced to world renowned golf coach Peter Cowen in 2000 through his mentor David Dunk. David a retired tour player left a lasting impression on Jonathan with his dedication to the sport, knowledge, skills and work ethic.

Whilst completing his PGA degree Jonathan took the lead position as head professional early on in his career which thrust him into a competitive teaching environment becoming the senior teaching instructor, coaching golfers of all levels. Developing his popularity meant that Jonathan was recruited by local Government Authorities and given the opportunity to coach golf in varied locations including schools, colleges, community centers and universities.

With over a decade of coaching experience Jonathan has developed a specialized skill set being able to activate the game in a simplistic manner to any person in any location. During this time he has furthered his knowledge to the highest level becoming aCorrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology (CHEK) Golf Mechanics Instructor, Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 2 Junior, Power & Golf Mechanics Instructor, Trackman Level 2 Instructor, Dr Kwon Biomechanics Level 1 Instructor, Triggerpoint Level 1 Coach and Special Education Needs (SEN) Level 3 qualified. With the aim of developing golf in the region, Jonathan joined the Emirates Golf Club team in 2010 and has been working with local authorities to provide the correct pathways in golf for the population of the UAE.
