Emirates Golf Club Junior Elite Program to be sponsored by swissglobal
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and develop the golfing community and appreciation for the distinguished sport within the UAE, Dubai Golf introduced the Emirates Golf Club Junior Elite Program, catering to the talent development requirements of gifted young golfers in the city in October this year.
The financial advisory and wealth management firm swissglobal has taken on the role of sponsor, further supporting the immense talent possessed by the 12 young golfers currently enrolled in the program. From covering the costs of local trips and subsidizing international expeditions, to providing for high quality uniforms, the financial giant will ensure that the multicultural budding professionals are equipped with all the tools required to fully pursue their talents.
“swissglobal is very pleased to contribute to the development of young golfing talent. We believe in talent, and the perseverance and hard work it takes to develop this to its full potential. Internally, we nurture and support our teams towards excellence look forward to the prospect of bringing the same belief in human potential, to a program as exciting and rigorous as the Emirates Golf Club Junior Elite,” said swissglobal CEO Mike Coady.
Players between the ages of 10 and 16, possessing a single figure handicap, who are eager to take on the sport in a professional capacity, or are looking to attain a golf-based scholarship for their further education are the key demography of the program. The Junior Elite Program provides weekly biomechanics lessons, in addition to supervised practice, golf specific gym exercises, and sessions on full swing, short game, mechanics and putting masterclasses. Furthermore, the course aims to have its participants involved in every UAE Junior event of note, preparing them for the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to compete in Junior Events in Southern California. These efforts have resulted in the program attaining recognition as one of the leading junior development programs in the region.
“We are very excited to have swissglobal partake in the program, as the ideals of both ventures complement each other perfectly in terms of their strong reputations and ethical conduct. The pursuit of excellence through hard work in a structured and knowledgeable learning environment is crucial for success and we look forward to having swissglobal’s support throughout the journey of our students” shares Stephen Deane, the Head Professional at the Peter Cowen Academy Dubai at Emirates Golf Club.
