This October, carine, the award-winning French-Mediterranean restaurant by Chef Izu Ani, invites guests to an elegant evening of culinary harmony, where each plate is thoughtfully paired with fine French wines from the world-renowned Bordeaux region. Set against the warm ambience of Emirates Golf Club, the exclusive dinner promises a sophisticated midweek experience for those who savour flavour, conversation, and craftsmanship.
Guests will begin with a vibrant medley of starters. A crisp Château Aile d’Argent 2018 lends structure and aromatic freshness to a selection that includes burrata with cherry tomatoes, sea bass carpaccio in a passionfruit purée, and kale avocado salad with lemon-wasabi dressing. This is followed by the silken elegance of Château Belair 2003 Magnum, its mature notes of plum and cedar paired with indulgent French classics like escargot with anchovy-parsley butter and a perfectly caramelised onion tart.
For mains, two exceptional Bordeaux reds take centre stage. Guests may choose between the earthy Clos L’Eglise 1999, served with roasted seabass or paccheri bolognese, and the bold Château Pichon Baron 2014, paired with grilled ribeye and Padron peppers, or ratatouille for a vegetarian alternative.
To finish, the dessert course is elevated with a pour of Château Rieussec Sauternes 2013, whose honeyed richness and citrus lift perfectly complement a zesty passionfruit cheesecake.
