Dubai, UAEJumeirah Golf Estates hosted a record-breaking edition of its prestigious Club Championship 2026, delivering a standout weekend of championship golf in Dubai, elite competition, and exceptional course conditions across its world-renowned Earth and Fire courses.

A total of 252 members competed in a newly enhanced Championship format, playing both the Earth Course and Fire Course over two days. The event brought together the full strength of the club’s membership across Men’s, Ladies, Seniors, and Net divisions, reinforcing Jumeirah Golf Estates’ reputation as one of the leading golf communities in Dubai and the UAE.

Stephenson Dominates to Claim Third Straight Title

Following a tightly contested opening round, the leaderboard remained wide open heading into the final day. However, it was Tom Stephenson who once again rose above the field, securing his third consecutive Jumeirah Golf Estates Club Championship title.

A blistering start to his final round, featuring two birdies and an eagle in the opening seven holes, established a decisive advantage. Stephenson maintained control throughout, delivering rounds of 71 on Fire and an exceptional 67 on Earth, finishing at 6-under par (138 total).

“This is my favourite competition in the calendar,” said Stephenson. “A huge thank you to the Golf Operations and Agronomy teams at Jumeirah Golf Estates for delivering two immaculate courses. Their work truly sets the standard for championship golf.”

Louis Thorne, who shared the overnight lead, produced a composed performance to finish runner-up at even par (144 total).

A Benchmark Event for Golf in Dubai

The 2026 edition of the Club Championship not only highlighted the depth of talent within the membership but also reinforced Jumeirah Golf Estates’ position as a premier destination for competitive golf events in Dubai.

Special recognition goes to the Agronomy team, whose meticulous course preparation ensured both Earth and Fire were presented in pristine, championship-ready condition, further elevating the tournament experience.

The event concluded as a true celebration of golf excellence, community spirit, and high-performance competition, setting a new benchmark for future championships.

As anticipation builds for 2027, all eyes will be on whether Stephenson can extend his remarkable run and secure a fourth consecutive Club Championship title.
